About Me
The fun and excitement of seeing a beautiful garden emerge from an empty or neglected space make this a really fun occupation. This is a second career for me, adding a new dimension of creativity and the opportunity to spend more time outdoors with my hands in the dirt.
After 20 years of gardening as a hobby, I enrolled in the Landscape Design program at The George Washington University School of Professional Studies. The program offers classes in landscape drawing, basic design concepts, site analysis, plant design, and many hours at the local gardens learning about the most beautiful plants of our region. I graduated with a graduate certificate in Landscape Design. As a perpetual student, I subsequently enrolled in the Landscape Architecture Program at the University of Maryland and earned a master’s degree in 2019.
Most homeowners who call me for help designing their gardens have been referred by a satisfied client. Whether I help you get started on an intimate patio garden or create a master plan for your entire property, Wild Ginger will work together with you to design the landscape you can only imagine.
